Waqf Quran Endowment in the Haram
Regular price £16.00Waqf a Mushaf in the Haram
Endow an officially authorized Mushaf inside Masjid al-Haram in Makkah or Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah, in your name or in the name of someone you love.
For centuries, pilgrims and visitors to the Haramain have made it a tradition to leave behind a Mushaf in the masjid. The intention is simple. Pilgrims from around the world come to the House of Allah, sit in His sacred mosque, and reach for a copy of the Qur'an to read. Every letter they recite from that Mushaf is recorded as a reward for the one who endowed it. Long after we have left this world, the reward continues.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Among the actions that continue to follow a believer after his death is a copy of the Qur'an that he left behind." (Sunan Ibn Majah, 242)
IGP is facilitating this Waqf via the Waqf al-Mushaf Makkah office located in Abraj al-Bait.
Each Mushaf is purchased from the King Fahd Complex in Madinah, the only edition permitted on the shelves of the Haramain. It is then stamped with the official seal, "Waqf li Allah Ta'ala", and placed within the masjid within 48 hours of your order.
Why a Mushaf Waqf?
A Waqf of the Qur'an is one of the most powerful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. It continues to earn reward as long as the Mushaf remains in use. For something placed inside the Haram, where millions of worshippers pass through every year, the impact is multiplied many times over.
You can endow a Mushaf in your own name, or in the name of someone who has passed away, someone living that you wish to honor, or a beloved teacher, parent, child, or friend.
